Konica Minolta Press Breakfast – Capabilities of Smart Video Systems

Zoom

Can smart cities become safe cities? How to provide safety in workplaces and develop business more effectively? A press breakfast was held on November 28 in Konica Minolta’s Showroom in Warsaw, where journalists had the chance to discover practical uses of intelligent video surveillance systems.

During the meeting, Business Development Manager Piotr Bettin and Tech Support Team Leader Paweł Czerwiński presented intelligent video surveillance solutions that improve the safety of people, goods or buildings. The shown cameras can e.g. count people and detect temperature or movement, as well as the changes in its direction. Devices also allow to control airports, stadiums or factories by alerting about overheating machines, suspicious packages, unusual behaviour, etc.

According to data presented by the experts, each year work-related accidents, fires and equipment failures cost billions of dolars worldwide. The safety problem affects cities too – they are struggling with vandalism, thefts, burglaries or robberies. Therefore, efficient prevention and detection of threats is crucial. According to Konica Minolta experts, the answer to this problem is artificial intelligence, which can analyse recorded material in real time and predict hazardous situations before they occur.

11 journalists participated in the meeting, including representatives from Rzeczpospolita, TVP, wp.pl, Polskie Radio and news agencies isbtech.pl and NewsrmTV. Materials from the event were published over 50 times within 2 weeks by news, tech, business and channel media.
